From the moment we arrived we were made to feel especially welcome, just like arriving at a country house! We had not found it easy to find our way in the dark & it was lovely to arrive and be greeted so warmly.
After settling into our room (the suite was delightful), we had a fantastic dinner with charming service. All the dishes were explained by Michal the lovely lady chef and the food exceeded our expectations. Everything was totally delicious, including the wines specially chosen to match the food. We were already looking forward to another night on our return (which was equally good). We were 2 couples on our way for a walking holiday on the Gargano Peninsular & stayed a night on our way & another on the way back. It's a beautiful spot with views over their own vineyards but the best thing was the quality of the service which we all found outstanding. We were also very grateful for the efforts made to arrange tea & breakfast for our early start. I would certainly recommend the hotel.

Cefalicchio Country House is located in a garden enclosed old masseria which was once the centre of a big almond farm, now converted to biodynamic olive groves, vineyards and productive gardens which supply the kitchen, cellars and house flowers. A villa, in the Umberto style and now over a century old, was constructed atop the masseria with a clever architectural integration that makes the house's evolution not quite immediately apparent and very intriguing if you love old. My husband and I stayed in Cefalicchio for 5 nights in June as he had business in a nearby town. His job takes us all over Italy from hotel to hotel and we have stayed in at least 20 hotels in the last 4 months (many of which were number 1 or 2 on Tripadvisor for their city.) I can honestly say though this was the BEST hotel we have stayed at across the board.

We s10 stars, I would. Let me outline some of the pros:
-Amazing, amazing food: Mica's restaurant offered fresh delicious food with a menu that varied every day. Her combinations were always innovative and scrumptious. Being from Texas, the steaks in Italy are a far cry from what I can get at home, but she prepared the best steak I have ever had in Italy. Everything she made from her homemade bread to her chocolate mousse desserts was mouthwatering. Prices were also very reasonable. Everything is grown right there on the property (when I asked for a fig one morning, they went and picked one off of the tree for me!) Even her simple salads were to die for!...

We stayed at Cefalicchio as part of our honeymoon, and were very well looked after. The country house is very elegantly furnished, and certainly manages to keep an authentic country retreat feel about it.
The food is very good, and their new chef Mica did an amazing job throughout our stay. All the food (except the fish and meats) are grown on the grounds, and is prepared on site. The speciality is certainly the fish, and this with the fresh ingredients is worth the trip in itself. Even the oats, pulses, nuts, and dried fruits that are served at breakfast are all from the surrounding groves and farmland, and are delicious.tayed at Cefalicchio Country House for three nights. The setting is wonderful and the staff were very friendly, particularly the wonderful head chef Michal. I've rarely met anyone so passionate about food and we dined superbly.

Had a wonderful 2 day at the Country House recently. Our manor house room was spacious,comfortable and beautiful, furnished with period antiques. The staff,especially manager, Stephania, were all warm, welcoming, and most helpful. The cuisine in their restaurant, directed by Chef Mica was outstanding--fresh, and innovative, made with best organic local ingredients. A stop here will be a highlight of any Apulian itinerary. This restaurant was so wonderful that we ate there twice during our week in Rome, once for dinner and once for lunch. Chef Michal prepares remarkable dishes beginning with her special salad and dried fruit all the way to Michal Amor, her fabulous dessert. We asked her on our last day in Rome to prepare a meal for us she wanted us to remember and she certainly did just that...

After visiting the Vatican on a Sunday in June we were in search of a good local (NON touristy) dining experience. I decided to ask a local (as he was about to close the massive door to his upscale apartment) where to go for the best local food in the Vatican area.
I am happy to report that his recommendation was spot on!
Although Percento was not yet open for lunch, Chef Michal greeted us warmly and asked if we would not mind waiting for 30 minutes until she was ready to begin lunch service...

If you are looking for a cookie cutter Italian, this is not it. What a breath of fresh air! Michal is a wonderfully inventive chef and Ferdinando can pair up your wines with the best of them. Everyone goes the extra mile to please and you immediately feel like you're home. You will not be disappointed. Keep an eye out for this place; it's sure to be the beginning of "destination dining" in Rome!! Go there now and say I knew Michal ...

We happened upon Percento and stopped in for a late lunch. The chef, Mical Levy, treats food as an art. Two of us are celiac and she came to our table to ensure us that no wheat will touch our food. She kept true to her art while taking into considerstion our needs as wheat-free diners. The food was amazing...

We too stumbled upon this place by accident. Stopped for a glass of wine and were so impressed with chef Michal's amazing whole meal bread and accompaniments. We stayed and were not disappointed. Find this place - you wont regret it!

We came on the Percento by chance, stopped for a bottle of house white (fresh, zingy and perfectly chilled) and were won over by something as simple as chef Michal's memorable wholemeal bread, accompaniments and irrepressible enthusiasm for her art. We stayed for a meal which Michal was delighted to help us choose and didn't regret our decision. Michal has a traditional and dedicated approach to her cooking -- preparing all her own stock, for instance -- coupled with exciting and innovative flavours. Eating at the Percento was a highlight of our visit to Rome. We are definitely visiting Rome again and a meal at one of Michal's tables is an absolute must. That's if we can get a table because the only way this restaurant is going is up. Don't miss it.

Leggiamo di critiche al ristorante. Ovviamente c'è libertà di opinione, però mettere in discussione la qualità pesce ed in genere quella di Percento lascia stupefatti! Certamente non si tratta di un locale per turisti, ma è chiaramente volto ad una clientela che sappia mangiare, bere, apprezzare l'atmosfera, il cibo fresco di ottima qualità e le capacità indiscutibili di una Chef che è una vera artista. Noi ci andiamo spesso e volentieri e non una volta siamo usciti scontenti. Il prezzo non è certo elevato per il livello che viene offerto ogni volta. La cortesia e la competenza di chi lavora lì è veramente rara nei ristoratori anche di una grande città come Roma!
